1. Brown ground beef & onion in appropriate sized soup pot.
2. Add sliced mushrooms and carrots when ground beef is almost done - cook until beef is completely browned. Drain off fat.
4. Pour water into pot - add barley, worcestershire, garlic powder, thyme, pepper, Mrs. Dash seasoning, & low sodium beef base - str
well & bring to a boil.
5. Reduce heat & simmer, covered, untl barley is tender - approximately 1-1 1/2 hours.
**May use quick cooking barley to decrease cooking time.
**Cooking time may vary from 1-1/2 hours to 2 hours.
